Your event data has an ending.
Groop keeps only what is needed to coordinate an event. Guests control their participation, and completed events do not become permanent profiles.
What an event may collect
A host supplies event details and may invite you by email. You choose whether to share an RSVP, party size, event-specific answers, and contact preferences. Groop does not add guests to marketing lists.
Who can see it
The event owner and invited co-hosts can see the coordination information you choose to share. Your email is not included in exports or shown for direct contact unless you permit it.
Your controls
- Change your RSVP at any time while the event is active.
- Stop event updates without leaving the event.
- Change what is shared and whether a host may contact you directly.
- Delete your participation without creating an account or contacting support.
When it disappears
Events become read-only seven days after they end and are scheduled for deletion 90 days after the event date.
A guest deletion removes participation data from normal systems within 24 hours. Short-lived, non-identifying security records and encrypted backup copies expire on their documented rotation schedules.
What Groop does not do
Groop does not sell guest information, build cross-event guest profiles, run advertising trackers, use session replay, or contact guests about unrelated events.
